Devon County Council is the highway authority and responsible for the repair and maintenance of most public roads in Devon. Problems with potholes, street lighting, pavements and other related issues should be reported to Devon County Council, either by telephone or via the online fault reporting system, which can be accessed from DCC Highways website

The local Area Highway Management Office is in Barnstaple and will be able to assist with queries regarding road and pavement maintenance, hedge, tree and verge cutting, skips and scaffolding licences, applications for pedestrian crossings and other traffic calming measures.
